The Renewal bay window frames and mullions are thicker (albeit stronger) than the regular Andersen bay I installed 11 years ago, which makes for a bulkier looking frame than the more svelte regular bay. The regular bay was totally PVC clad, whereas the Renewal bay required aluminum flashing over the mullions and lower frame. The Renewal crew, however, was excellent and accommodated trimming the inside framing all around to reduce the projection of the bay and inset the end frames back from the outside edge of the wall opening to resemble the regular bay previously installed. Check the details of the bays if you're wanting to "match" an existing or get a standard bay, if still available.
