Why Choose Andersen Fibrex® Windows & Doors? -ACRE Explains

We at Acre Windows are very proud to announce that we are now carrying the complete line of Andersen 100 Series Windows and Doors. What makes the 100 Series products stand out from the rest of Andersen Windows and Doors is that they are made of 100% Fibrex®, a composite material exclusively manufactured by Andersen. Composite windows are becoming so popular in the replacement window market because composite offers the strength and longevity of wood with the low maintenance and affordability of vinyl. Andersen’s Fibrex composite material is the leader in it’s field. Fibrex is a truly revolutionary material made of reclaimed wood fiber and PVC polymer that is fused together for exceptional durability and beauty.

Benefits of Andersen Fibrex® Material:

  • 2X Stronger than vinyl
  • Long-lasting: Will never blister, peel, rot, chalk or fade
  • Durable: Retains it's shape and rigidity in all climates
  • Maintenance-Free: Never needs painting
  • Eco-Friendly: Made from wood waste and Energy Star Rated

Besides the engineering advantages of the Fibrex Material, the design and special features of Andersen 100 Series make it the premier composite product line on the market. Andersen 100 Series Windows are available in the following types: Single Hung Window, Casement Window, Awning Window, Gliding Window, Picture Window, Speciality Window. The 100 Series Patio Door is only available as a gliding door. No matter what type of 100 Series Window or Door you chose, the same color and design options are available. Andersen designed the 100 Series to have common features and sight lines, so mixing and matching window types will enhance rather than detract from the design of your home.

Last week we installed a variety of 15 Andersen replacement windows in a beautiful Trenton, NJ home. What made this project so unique was the customer's decision to mix and match window types. Most customers we see choose the same type of window for every opening they are replacing. But at this home they chose some wood windows and some fibrex windows, which allowed them to achieve the specific look they were going for in each individual room.
